I made my clip by using Imovie. I imported my clip and picked out the filming i wanted for my clip. I cut some of my clips to make them shorter or only get the bit which i wanted by going into edit and split clip at playhead on the part which i wanted to use.

I wanted transitions to change from one clip to another, i used the overlap transtion to change from each part of the conversation between my two characters. I used this to make the film flow better and look like it was all filmed in one when it is actualy several different clips.

I also used the zoom effect to change how close up my character was in the clip during the dialogue. Below i have used the fade out transtion at the end of my clip to make the clip end nicely instead of just finishing at a point.

My idea for my film is going to be a teacher telling off a student about walking out of a lesson and thier behaviour in the lesson.
My clip will include someone walking down a corridor and approaching a door, an extreme close up of their hand opening the door, a match on action of them walking through the door. They will then have a short conversation using shot-reverse shot.

There is no particular target audience for this clip as it only has to include someone walking through a door and some short dialogue and my main target audience is Mr Winn as he will be marking it. It would depend on the genre which target audience your film is aimed at. However i will include some humour in my film so it could be classed as a comedy.
My film must include a match on action, for examply in my film it would be filming someone opening or about to walk through a door and the next shot would be them walking through the door but the camera would be filming from the other side of the door so shows them walking in.
A shot reverse shot, for example in my film will be two people speaking, the first shot would be on one person and then the next shot would be on the other person whilst they are having a conversation. It is used to show conversation between two people this is so the viewer can also be looking at the person who is speaking to make the scene more realistic to them.
It must also include the 180 degree rule, which if i was filming two people it would mean that when i filmed my different clips, if they were to the left of the camera and i then changed which angle i was filming from that characther would have to remain on the left hand side of the shot.

Different camera shots can be used to represent different things. For example an extreme close up(XCU) could be used to highlight a certain emotion or to make it clear to the audience that something has happend for example if in a film you wanted to the highlight the fact that the character could hear something unusual, you could do an extreme close up shot of thier ear. A medium close up would most likely be used if you were filming people having a conversation.
Different camera angles and shots can be used for effect in certain clips. For example a point of view shot can be used to increase the audiences emotional attachment to the characters which are on screen. The audience will see exactly what the character sees, so it makes them feel more as if they are actually at the scene.
A dramatic angle shot adds impact to the scene , if it is filmed from a low angle this will highlight how big or powerful somehting is and if it is filmed from a high angle it could represent how small something is and seem as if the audience is looking down on them. For example if you wanted to show how small everything looked from the top of a high building you would use this shot.
A pan shot is used to look across a wide scene as it based on the horizontal movement of the camera. This can be used in a clip to follow a character as they move around.
A tilt shot is the vertical movement of the camera, it could be used to look over tall objects such as a high rise buidling.

The next clip i annalysed was from the terminator. It shows an establishing shot arnold swarchneger walking up to the door of the police station and then a match on action of him walking through the door. It then shows the police guard in his office with arnold talking to him, using the 180 degree rule, there is then a shot reverse-shot/medium close up of arnie speaking to the guard. The clip ends with a close up of arnold saying "Ill be back". This is an important shot because it enhances what is about to happen in the next clip which is him driving a truck into the police office.

I first studied similar media texts of scenes from different films which included someone walking through a door, match on action and a shot reverese shot of two people having a conversation.
I watched a clip from the matrix, the storyboard below shows my annalysis of the clip.

Before they approached the door there was a birds eye/dramatic angle shot of the stairs they were walking up. This enhanced their approach to the door and who they were about to meet. It showed an establishing shot of them walking up to the door and talking outside, there was then a long shot and match on action of them walking through the door. There was then another long shot of a man facing the opposite way to them, there was then a medium close up of him turning around which was also a match on action and then a shot reverse-shot of him talking to the two of them.
